The directory becomes more useful as it grows, but only if your team can find the right profile quickly. Use search and filters before creating a new profile so you do not accidentally duplicate someone.
Useful filters
- Search by participant name, business name, or email address.
- Filter by participant type.
- Show flagged profiles only.
- Clear filters to return to the full list.
- Use compliance badges as a quick signal before opening the detailed profile.
Good search habits
- Search by email when possible because names and business names often change between events.
- Use partial searches for businesses that may include legal suffixes, trading names, or shortened stall names.
- Check flagged and compliance states before inviting or approving returning participants.
When to open the full profile
- You need event history, notes, flags, or document context.
- You are deciding whether a participant should be invited, approved, merged, or erased.
- You need to check whether the person is already linked to a live event.
If search does not find the person
- Try email first, then business name, then the contact name. Returning participants often change one but not all three.
- Clear filters before assuming the profile is missing.
- Check flagged profiles if the person may have been held for review after a previous event.
- If you still need to create a new profile, add enough detail to make a future duplicate easier to spot.
Search before adding. Duplicate profiles are fixable, but avoiding them keeps event history, documents, notes, and payment context easier to trust.
