Billing controls the money your organisation pays for SmartGig. It is not the same as event payments collected from participants or ticket buyers.
Start here when
- You want to check the current SmartGig package, billing cycle, trial, card, service credit balance, or subscription invoice.
- You need to understand which modules or allowances are included in the organisation package.
- You are deciding whether to add a module such as Ticketing, Stage Manager, Transport, Site Plan, White Label, team management, recurring events, or SMS allowance.
- You need to download invoices for the SmartGig subscription rather than participant or ticket income.
What Billing can show
- Current package and billing cycle.
- Trial end date and remaining trial time where applicable.
- Available package components and monthly or annual pricing.
- Subscription cards and invoice history for card-billed accounts.
- Service credit balance, credit plan selection, renewals, and credit history for credit-billed accounts.
- Package previews before applying changes.
Changing package or billing
- Some accounts can add or change package components from Billing.
- Card-billed accounts can manage payment methods and download subscription invoices.
- Service-credit accounts can preview credit usage before applying a plan.
- Some downgrades or account changes may require support if they affect active data or features.
Before changing a package
- Check which active events use the module you want to remove or add.
- Tell affected team members if a module, allowance, White Label setting, or SMS workflow may change.
- Export any information your organisation needs before making a support-led downgrade that affects active workflows.
- Use a demo or support conversation for complex changes where several live events depend on the same package features.
Billing versus Payments
- Billing pays SmartGig.
- Settings > Payments connects Stripe for participant and ticket card payments.
- Event Payments manages participant fees, invoices, and reminders.
- Ticketing manages ticket orders, checkout, refunds, and reports.
When to contact support
- A module you expected is missing after a package change.
- A subscription invoice, card charge, service credit balance, or trial date looks wrong.
- You need to change a package but the self-service control is not available.
- You are unsure whether removing a module will affect current events, public links, generated documents, or team access.
If you are trying to fix participant card payments, do not start in Billing. Start in Settings > Payments and then check the event or ticketing setup.
